One's bladder ought to be so powerful that one does not need to wake up in the middle of the night to answer the call of nature that results in one not being able to fall back asleep thereafter.

I hope this will be part of the human evolution.

Hada Crie Part 2

So, I walked damn far to get to one electronics shop. Super out of the way, in search of the one thing.


Today, I tried Hada Crie Cool (yeap! I got the version with the cooling function) and what I saw on the cotton pad was just disgusting.
Just for your information, I used a makeup remover and facial cleanser during shower. Before using Hada Crie I even used a toner to quickly wipe the face.
And still, with the cleaning function this was the result I got.

On Saturday, I saw this new gadget from Hitachi at Marina Square.
It's the Hada Crie, and there were the Hada Crie Cool, Hada Crie, and a cheaper variation that only cleans.

Upon reading reviews from bloggers, I think it's a damn amazing product!
Several colleagues use Clarisonic but if you've actually seen the real thing and felt the brush, I really can't imagine how some people allow that running across their face!

So many reviews of Hada Crie came with photographic evidence. One blogger even showed the amount of dirt the cotton pad (attached to the Hada Crie) picked up AFTER she had used Clarisonic in the shower, prior to using the Hada Crie. It is pretty pricey in Singapore, so I hope I can get a good deal at an electronics store here in Tokyo.

Among the reviews, here's just one that doesn't have gross pictures of dirty cotton pads.

I bloody want one now!!!! Hope to get the Hada Crie Cool if the price is good. It cools the face after the entire cycle for three minutes to close the pores. In Singapore, this one sells for $400+.

Silent night

Please let tonight be a safe and peaceful night.

I'm in Tokyo.
The tectonic plates have been very active lately and there's probably been one major earthquake reported everyday for the last 5 days.
Yesterday's (Saturday) at Sichuan was the deadliest. And if not mistaken, Japan had already shook just a few days ago.

I hope there won't be anything major while I'm here.
Fingers crossed.

By the way, it's really cold (7°C) and the winds are really strong out there.
Two days ago, it snowed somewhere near Sendai according to a friend.
I remember how some people died when the tsunami hit last year because they ran out into the cold and they died in that cold with nothing warm on them.

Tonight I'll be keeping my shoes and a jacket next to my bed. Together with my passport. And my phone.

With today's technology, we will not even have the prospect of selling a letter that announces our own discovery for $5.3 million (It was reported that Crick's letter to his son that detailed his discovery of the DNA sold for that amount at an auction).

What's likely to happen, especially in the case of my mum and a possible new discovery is that she will WhatsApp me, and then proceed to call me later that day. What letter?

Sweet, sweet life

 

Markus and I celebrated a special occasion together two days early, at my favourite restaurant 'Dolce Vita'.
Unfortunately it's a Saturday and we couldn't order a la carte and were made to go with their brunch menu.
It was a waste as more than half the food went to waste. It was too much food. Half the plate of Australiam lamb chop went to waste, almost the entire plate of cold cuts were returned to the kitchen too.

Nonetheless, it was a beautiful lunch and a memorable one too.
Dolce Vita's service is tip-top, as always, and I even received a rose from them ;)


And for yours truly was in an excellent mood, I bought a backpack for a little cousin. She doesn't know it yet!

Malaysian style

First it was said that the EC will meet on Friday (today) to discuss the nomination and polling dates.

Today, it was reported that the EC will meet on Wednesday to do the same.

EC everyday drinking coffee and shaking legs is it?

Dear Rosmah

I hope you have engaged movers to help pack up your Birkins. Be careful, many of them aren't very honest so do watch over your many "gifted" jewellery.

I hope your predecessor will enjoy as much popularity as you and will continue to receive as many expensive gifts as you have.

Maybe once you've changed your feng shui, you may lose some weight. Feng shui in what you called home for the last five years is probably not favorable to you, as you seem to have gained much weight. Though the Chinese say gaining weight is a sign of prosperity, people with common sense know you're obese and probably suffering from a series of health problems like diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, a weak heart, etc. Maybe a change of feng shui will give you back your health.

As for your book, don't expect it to sell. Whether you're at the top or after your downfall, it will never interest even the most boring soul.

You may find new roles in other organizations to continue being in the spotlight because as Malaysians have concluded, you love the spotlight. No other previous wives of PM of Malaysia have loved the spotlight as much as you have. You even dared to declare yourself "First Lady" when no others used that term previously. "First Lady" I hope you enjoyed using that term while it lasted. People are ridiculing you for wanting to be a Michelle, Hilary or even Jackie-O. Oh God. The thought of putting their names together with yours makes me laugh.

Enjoy your alone time with your Birkins while you dust them out.

In bed, where dreams come true...

April

It's that time of the year again. The dreaded time of the year where I have to do several tests and also to jump off the 'plane'.
Dreadful.

Last weekend, Markus and I did a day trip to JB and BP on Saturday. The weather was insane. In JB, we met Anshii and Nelson. We then proceeded to BP for lunch and it was here that I proved my point to Markus that food in Singapore cannot compare to food in BP.

On our way back, we were caught in a bad storm and traffic across the Second Link was very bad. We were both so drained, and yet he had to attend a birthday party after that. He was late, of course.

 On Sunday, I fell ill. Still I had to fly to the Middle East. I slept for about 15 hours with toilet breaks in between. I have never drank so much water in my life in 24 hours.
Today, during descent, my ears blocked. My right ear was especially bad and I couldn't really hear very well even after landing.
It's since gotten better but whenever I turn my head I can feel slight aches in my ears.

I hope this gets better before I have to jump into water on Thursday.
