Who's holding on to my wallet?

So my stash of IDs of sorts, discount cards and random old receipts were found. Just not my wallet.

Receipts. Very old, faded ones. Very small pieces of NETS receipts. Name card of a restaurant in Barcelona. A Pasmo (Japanese travel) card with Markus' name - not mine - printed on it (he lent it to me), a talisman with writings that even I can't comprehend and with no name at all....
How did this person, who found these items on the ground in a carpark, know these are all mine?

Wallet FOUND

Even I find it so hard to believe.

How freaking lucky am I?

of the hundreds of wallets lost a day in Paris, mine was recovered. Because of a document in there, The Company in Paris was informed and that's how it's coming back to me. It's on its way back to momma. It should have left Paris by now!

-------------------------------------

Only discovered this while I was putting away the bag into its box today....
Fucker left a big scratch on my Kelly while trying to open the flap. Fuck U.

Light bulb moment

Now I know why so many Louis Vuitton bags (off the top of my head: Lockit, Speedy, Alma,) and Hermes bags (Kelly, Birkin, Bolide) have LOCKS for handbags.

I always thought locks were stupid for handbags because if a thief really wanted your money, they'll just cut your bag. But then now I realize it actually prevents pickpockets from accessing the contents of those bags!

And the common ground between the two brands is of course they're French.

Just fyi, I got robbed while using a Kelly*. While I had the clochet and key dangling from my bag, the lock is in Singapore in its box. The lock is heavy and I didn't see the point of dangling it around the bag.
*My Kelly isn't of Togo or Clemence leather. It's of a very stiff leather and it's actually not easy to open up the straps and putting a hand into the bag because of the narrow opening.

After yesterday's lesson, I really think it's a fucking good idea to lock the bag every time after I put my wallet back in (when in Paris). The key is dangling around anyway it's not hard for me to unlock and lock it back. But it'll be hard for any evil-minded person to try to unlock the bag without me staying still.

That's what I'm gonna do.

Momma's not upset with the new bag. Momma was slightly upset at the Kelly for not being more secure. Momma's now no longer upset because Momma's finally realized the value of the lock.

Have fun snorting coke

Effed up.
I lost my wallet, eventually. All the nightmares, and the almost-did-but-didn't-happen in Rome happened in Paris anyway. I seriously have a strong dislike for this city. Romantic MY ASS.

I'm really upset. Not for the money. Not for the hassle of replacing my IDs in two countries. But for the wallet and what it means to me. The boyfriend's message to me right after I texted him to block all cards because wallet was stolen was, "All blocked. Which bag did u use? I'll buy you a new one."
T______________________T

I don't want him to buy me a new wallet. I'll use back my old one. And I have another spare. I just feel terrible I didn't take care of it better. So many if onlys, so many regrets. Next time, if I've shopping bags like these, Imma take a damn cab back to the hotel!!!!!
This was taken probably an hour before the incident.

After Chanel on Rue Cambon, my colleague and I had late lunch directly opposite the boutique. And then from Rue Cambon, we walked along Rue Royale to Concorde station. Along Rue Royale I noticed someone was walking quite close behind me. But my bag doesn't open quite so easily so I wasn't that worried. And he/she didn't seem to be within such distance to be able to take anything from me. When going down the steps of the Metro, I moved sideways to let the people behind me go first because I felt too uncomfortable. Upon reaching the basement I noticed my bag had been opened. :( the horrible sinking feeling to see my bag without a wallet in there.

The silver lining is that my phone and passport are there. With my phone I could still contact Markus and he could help me cancel my cards. With my phone photos gone my world will crumble, honestly. With my passport I can still fly back. I didn't mind the two hundred over Euros lost. I was hoping I could still find my wallet in one of the bins in the Metro. The only yellow stuff I saw in the bin was a banana peel :(

I keep wondering what is that person doing with my money. Buying drugs? Buying alcohol? Betting on football? I have a few lessons learned from today. Sit with me and I'll share with you.

Last but not least, today without my colleague Zabrina, I really would not have made it till the end of the day.

Rolex door sign says CLOSED - OUT OF STOCK

Ok kidding.
But that's what is almost happening in Singapore.
One Rolex outlet here says it's selling about 30 watches a day because of the higher Swiss Francs now. People are snapping up the watches in anticipation of a price increase. As a result, popular watches are out of stock. No Submariners, no Daytonas, no GMT Masters.

I walked past a few Rolex boutiques along Orchard Road yesterday. On display were only the Datejusts and Day-Dates.

Singaporeans are truly Kiasu

The message that you send out

...when you get on the busiest station in the CBD, holding up high and reading this book called "True Love - A practice for the awakening heart."

Girl, you gonna get a few numbers before you get off at your destination.

SG guys going crazily sweet

What, in a matter of weeks, a second video has emerged of this guy proposing to his GF and it is so sweet.

The first was the Changi Airport flash mob. Now we have this lucky girl who got proposed to in her new home. Watch it here. If I were her, I will not decorate nor furnish the house anymore. With our photos plastered all over the walls, flowers on the floor, and balloons bobbing about, all that suits me just fine.

Since when Singaporean men are so sweet (and not the usual self-centered people)?

Malaysian men need to catch up quick! I can only think of Tim Tiah's proposal to Audrey/fourteetnine and yes, I cried watching that too. The very famous meme proposal that went viral worldwide.

So true

Cherish what you have.
And open your eyes so you don't end up like this.
Should you be one, please be strong enough to leave.
And by "you", I am referring to myself too.

Pa•the•tic

I know I shouldn't. I know this blog isn't locked.
BUT OMG.

Why so successful but so sad? Why complain about every single thing? Why is your life so miserable? Does it make you any happier that you inflict that misery on other people who cross your path? Why why why????
With that very solid frequent flier status (you know what I mean) he thinks he can inflict so much fear in others. Complain and complain. Then three rows behind, another man has equal status but is SO KIND, SO RESPECTFUL, SO PLEASANT, SO POLITE.
He even asked if I've eaten on the flight as I cleared his table T____T
See. Caring for fellow humans doesn't just go one way. We always care for our passengers. We worry that they've not had enough food so we give snacks. We worry the old folks are bored so we put on the movies for them. We worry they're not feeling well when they don't finish their food so we ask if they're feeling fine. We worry that they're cold so we offer a warm drink. Since when did passengers ever think about us?
This must only be the second time I've had a passenger ask me if I've eaten.

Mr. T. So much respect for u.

Heaven in his eyes

There's a whole room of ship models in the Rijksmuseum. And I thought wow, that's what a 10-year-old boy's heaven must look like.

Then I went on to the next room. And I thought, wow this is what a Republican's heaven must look like.

Where's the damn Ebola when you need it

Why hasn't Ebola killed the jihadists yet??
I'm so upset about what's happened in Paris.
It didn't happen in Iraq. It didn't happen in Syria. It happened in FUCKING PARIS

Charlie Hebdo is 300 meters away from the crew hotel. That's a 3-minute walk away. Right behind the Thai restaurant that we always go to. And isn't it right that as the two terrorist brothers were escaping they killed a police on the road too?

The second hostage site was 5 km from the hotel at a supermarket. Who doesn't go to a supermarket? I ALWAYS, without fail, go to a supermarket in France. Could have been any one of us wtf!

I'm so angry. Why are these people so extreme? Sure I have serious issues with their views but that doesn't mean I'm gonna blow them up! What makes them so brash and brazen?!

This better not just be the start to their terror activities in France and the rest of Europe. Otherwise this world is damned.

This feels weird

The boyfriend is traveling for work.

This evening he FaceTime-d me and it was the weirdest feeling ever. He's overseas and I'm at home!!! It's always the other way around. I end up checking if he's flight departed on time, if he's arrived, if he's eaten, etc. everything that he would do when I was away.

All will return to normalcy this weekend.

K-dramas need new directors

95% of K-dramas have:
1. Back-hugs, like at least 5 times;
2. Girl loses her balance, guy catches her and then they stare into each others' eyes and fall in love;
3. Crazy crying scenes that when the male lead cries, viewers' hearts break into a million pieces; and
4. Strange hug whereby guy will embrace the girl and girl will have her arms just by her sides. Hello, how about hugging him back huh?

Mums are tough

I was home for two nights. Both nights I didn't sleep more than 5 hours, I don't know why. Each time I woke up, I heard baby Xavier crying so my sis was attending to him or feeding him. And throughout the day yesterday I was like a zombie.
Lifeless and just drifting in and out of sleep the entire day. The most I had to do yesterday was to go out to take in the laundry. Otherwise I was on the couch, on my bed, on mum's bed, or eating to replenish all that lost energy.

Meanwhile, mum must have woken up a few times in the night together with Anshii. Mum sleeps late too. Mum has to go to work. Has to cook for us. Has to do the laundry for us and the baby. Anshii was too busy feeding and looking after the baby as well as pumping baby feed.

How do they do it?!??!!

Random thought

Now that Indonesian authorities have suddenly said that Air Asia didn't actually have approval to fly on the day the QZ8501 crashed, does that mean that the insurance company covering the airliner is not going to pay for the massive loss?....
