The award goes to me

If ever there's an award for procrastination, no doubt I'd be the winner.

Had a whole weekend and I didn't do what I was suppose to do - sending out the wedding invitations. Partly also because now my plan has been highly criticized by mum so I need to work on Plan B.

I need a wedding planner...

Another good flight

The flight to London was so damn long!

But it's all good.

Sun shining in me. (Slap me already)

It started during boarding. I was at the door greeting passengers and checking boarding passes when one Singaporean man exclaimed, "Hey! You were on my Johannesburg flight!"
Wah, can remember me. Thank you.

During the second meal service, an elderly woman and her daughter thanked me for "taking such great care" of them during the flight. Of course, I said, it's my duty to do so. When I went on to the next row, another elderly couple thanked me also for the service given to them. My heart swelled with so much pride.

I don't expect them to email the company to compliment the service as young people would. When such compliments come in, the company will forward me a copy and I keep all these emails in my mailbox.
I will probably not have emails from the passengers mentioned above but I have this page to remind me that on this day, I had a wonderful flight to London and I made a difference.

OK! Nap time and then I'll be off to visit the new prince, Ezra.

Happy birthday Taeyang!

It's Taeyang's birthday tomorrow.

I almost feel sorry for Anlynn hahahaha. I'll be flying tonight to London and guess who has to put up with my nonsense tomorrow?

Just to make you feel old on a Monday morning

It's been nine years since Linkin Park's Minutes to Midnight was released.

Weekend is over

A farewell was organized for Chin Shi for her imminent move to Hong Kong.

It's bittersweet because one on hand she truly deserves to be there physically with Toby while on the other I'm not so ready to part with her.

We had a sleepover where we handed over our gifts to her. Little did I know that it wasn't just us who prepared her cards but she wrote each of us something too. Like a weakling, I cried reading it without even finishing the second paragraph.

Again I whine... Why do we have to grow up.

Like a piece of meat in the market

Felt like a piece of meat in the market where people were choosing the best cut -_-

Went for my first full body IPL and it was super-to-the-power-of-infinity awkward.
Never been so exposed before and there were two assistants who were working on me.

To be fair they were really professional and constantly kept me updated on what to expect next, e.g. they're gonna put the cooling gel which is really cold, or that they're going to use a cold towel to wrap a limb.

Next awkward moment: two months' time.

Can I dance already???

OMG my playlist is so good I'm gonna implode!!! I wanna dance NOW. In the middle of Orchard Road!

You'll never expect this

Last weekend The Boy and I went for a sewing workshop. It was organized by The Company's Creative Circle club with an external workshop.
He agreed to go with me to support my recent interest.

What was most surprising is that he actually sews better than me. My samples were horrible and he managed to sew where the stitches are suppose to go.

After the workshop, we got some fabric from the textile market in Chinatown (that place is amazing!!!). Last night he set up his mum's old sewing machine that hasn't been used in the longest time. This man, he really knows his stuff. He threaded the thread without instructions (roughly remembering it from last weekend's class) and prepared the bobbin as well. When it was all done, he told me to start practicing.

The whole scene from last weekend's workshop played out again sigh. I did terribly and he did much better.

I know who'll be doing alterations in the household in future.

The stewardess goes zoom zoom

Hopefully I'll be able to meet up with Markus' hairdresser tomorrow evening. Need to have a small discussion with him. Yes, I intend to use him on ROM day.

Meanwhile, the soundtrack to my research is... Well, no prize for guessing. I wish it was a bit more romantic, like "The Power Of Love Vol 1."

Last night towards the end of my standby, I was activated for a flight 1 hour 20 minutes before scheduled departure. There was a technical fault with the original flight and the original set of crew had to step down. Damn I never knew I could get ready for flight that fast - it was in record time! A good thing I had showered about 2 hours before I got activated.

I then activated my private driver who flew from Tampines to my place hahaha. As I didn't know how long it would take for me to get ready, I didn't want to call my regular. And I didn't want to risk not being able to book a cab when I was ready.

When I cleared passport control, a buggy was waiting for me. "Dxxxx?" I nodded. The driver of the buggy signalled me to get on. And then I zoomed through terminal 2 to my gate. Eh, that buggy is fast ok! Really syok! But have you ever seen a crew on one? I haven't. I was a little embarrassed.

Bigger screen please

10" tablet is not big enough for Taeyang & Co.!!!
Even if I were to pull out my heavy MBP it's just 13". Ah, how sad!

Yesterday the fiancĂ© was so sweet.
Background: he likes only songs from the 80s and 90s. Post-90 songs are too new. He likes slow instrumental by Yiruma and Secret Garden too.
So I said to him, please get me tickets to see Big Bang when they come. And he was thinking real hard where to get the contacts, wondering if his Sg music industry contacts can help. I said I also want backstage passes :P
I told him to come with me for the concert. In order for him to sample BB's music I played him two songs. I think he wanted to die inside. (I played "Good Boy" & "Fantastic Baby". I remember when I first heard those songs I was thinking WHAT RUBBISH IS THIS?!?!?!)
All he said was, "Their music very techno huh." LOL! I think it's his way of not spoiling our date.

While we were having lunch he suddenly said something like let's go to Japan. I asked why and he showed me the screen on his phone - Big Bang tour dates HAHAHAH. This whole month their in Japan. Awwwwww!! <3

And added stress that people book 9 months in advance for their Photoshoot - my date has been taken! My makeup artist is taken!
Whoa!
Overwhelming.

Time to sleep

Such a long day.
I shall rest the mind and make way for dreams.

Sisters for life

This last weekend, I was home to celebrate dad's 70th birthday. His birthday isn't until 13th but it was celebrated earlier. So his ex-volleyball students through 20 years gathered together for a reunion (it is apparent who the seniors - the grannies - and who the juniors are) as well as to celebrate his birthday. These ex-students needed this long weekend to come back from near and far.

I must say that his students are truly one of a kind. Or maybe my dad was one of a kind. It was a successful reunion and birthday celebration!

Markus and Nelson both went back to BP to attend the celebration too.

While I was back in BP, the first night I was with mum when we FaceTimed Anlynn. Anshii knocked out after a whole day of running after superactive (and super sweaty) Xavier.

On the second night, Xavier knocked out after dad's birthday dinner. And this night I caught up with Anshii.

It's nice to catch up with my sisters (especially in person) once in a while. We're all grown ups with our own lives and Anshii, her family.
We live in different places and chances like these don't come by easy. I envy those whose siblings are all in the same place. Like mum, although many siblings of hers are abroad, she does have a few in town too. On any day should she wish to talk to them, she can just call them and ask them to drop by the house. Be it to take their letters that are mailed to my late grandmom's house or to pick up some fruit or whatnots.

For many of us from Generation Y and after, with so few siblings to begin with, maintaining family bonds in years to come will be a challenge.
