Wrong on so many levels. Calling the abaya a blanket, and then saying that it's a jihad... Why did ThoughCatalog publish this? On top of all name-calling and racist she says the white men are, she goes on to say that Asian women all look similar (racist!), Asian men are nerdy and short (racist!)... 

This woman is no wonder not able to find a white man or any man for that matter. 

Ignorance is her most outstanding trait and if anything, she is definitely an American. 

10 years of Skull Scarves

Last year, Alexander McQueen celebrated 10 years of its signature skull scarves.

They are beautiful and versatile. I hardly think anyone who's ever owned one has regretted buying it.

My only skull scarf so far is in something close to olive green colour with black skulls. I see a colour combination from the current season that I wouldn't mind getting too.

There are special skull scarves released, in collaboration with Damien Hirst, to mark the 10th year... I LIKE!!

Happily ever after?

I've just finished watching the British movie "I Give It A Year" and, with a heavy heart, have to admit it gives a realistic view of how a marriage can crumble, as well as how extra-marital affairs start. 

(Then again, I also half-read an article recently, on Huffington Post if I remember right, that affairs don't happen "by chance" or "accidentally". "I didn't mean for it to happen" is bullshit and one is always in control of the situation.) 

I then logged on to BBC to see the very disappointing news that Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow have split. 

Another powerful couple in the entertainment industry who can't seem to fulfil Happily Ever After. 

Does it seem too much to ask for that I have a real happily ever after of my own in future? 

M&M travels!

My green M&M is traveling with me because this hotel has very lousy pillows. Every time I stay here I can't sleep well because the pillows are way too flat. 

Don't be fooled by how the pillows look in the picture. It goes flat the moment the head hits the pillow. 

I slept on the M&M which, if you would believe, has more height than two of those stacked together. Best sleep in Zurich ever! 

Let us do our jobs

When you are asked to show your boarding pass, show it!

When we tell you your electronic device can interfere with navigational systems and has to be turned off, turn it off!

When we tell you to put away your bags that'll hinder an evacuation, put it away!

When we are nice to you, be nice back unless you know how to open the door and save yourself in an emergency! 

When we tell you to move and jump into the slide, you get on it and pretend you're 5 years old again! And you do it in a heartbeat! Hesitate, and I won't hesitate to push you down that slide with my own bare hands. 

When we tell you to brace, you BRACE. And if you don't know what a bracing position is, LOOK IT UP NOW because it won't register in your head in an emergency. 

How clear is your conscience?

Can the person(s) behind stealing the passports of the Italian and Austrian sleep at night knowing now the passports might now have fallen into very evil hands (that's assuming there's a terror link to the passports)? 

Can the immigration officer who let slip the impostors sleep at night assuming photographs in the passports weren't changed? 

(We who go through Malaysian border security often enough know how lax they can be. How often have we, in a car of only Malaysians, waived our passports to have the officer behind the counter give us a nod and go-ahead without even taking the passports from our hands?)

Can the people who are hiding very important information, like the huge time gap between the loss of communication with ATC and the loss in position on the radar, sleep at night? 

It last contacted Subang ATC at 2.40 am. It dropped off the radar at 1.20 am. What information are we missing? 

Can the big fat ass sleep at night, since he spent so-effing-much money on a submarine that can't do much other than stay underwater, and one that cannot come to use in an emergency and we need to use Singapore's submarine? Oh the embarrassment. 

I'm so angry. I don't wanna speculate I don't wanna play the blame game. I just want the plane to be found. I pray that there are 239 people alive in 8 life rafts floating somewhere in the South China Sea. I pray they are alive and well. 

Japanese eccentricities

Japanese don't wear sunglasses it seems. 

I was out today, and it was sunny! Not a cloud in the sky and of course it was glaring. 

Then I felt like an outcast (usually it's because I don't have perfect hair like the girls here and also because I walk around in flats while you don't find Japanese girls in flats) for wearing sunglasses. I was in one of the busiest parts of Tokyo, Shinjuku, and there were throngs of people going in and out of the train station and yet NOT A SINGLE JAPANESE was wearing sunglasses! The only three people I bumped into wearing sunnies were two Caucasians and an Asian man (who spoke to his girlfriend in Mandarin with Taiwanese accent). 

It was real sunny and while the glare doesn't compare to that in Australia, it's still a challenge to look ahead if you're not in shade. 

They use masks to hide their faces but won't use sunnies to hide and protect their eyes. 

Why??? 

Happy day!!

It's a jolly jolly day today.

It's the boyfriend'a birthday! While I may not be there with him in Singapore, I posted his card first thing today at the Shinjuku post office so I guess he will receive it only next week. However, this afternoon he already received his present by courier. He's as happy as a lark and that makes me happy too! And because I'm happy, I also shopped my wallet heart away. 

Lanvin tights, Chloé cashmere scarf, Givenchy silk scarf, Burberry, Givenchy and Anteprima handkerchieves. 

It is a happy day, I reiterate, so I also bought stuff from Azul. For the longest time I've wanted to buy whatever they were spraying in the shop but they always say they don't sell the perfume spray. And as the day continues on in its happy ways, they finally found a way to let my room smell as wonderful as their shop by selling CANDLES with the same scent. 

Oh and uhm did I mention I've been buying too many scented candles lately? I wish they had a spray but I guess if I've to burn a candle to achieve that smell in my room, then burning a candle it is!

Carrot... Carrot.......

I cancelled my Spotify subscription two days ago so that it doesn't renew on March 1. I felt silly to be paying a premium every month when I only listen to the few songs on several of my playlists that I created when I was given the trial premium period. 

I thought, hey I don't need to be offline to listen to my playlist. I can always be online to listen to them. 

I THOUGHT WRONG. 

Spotify is evil. They give you everything that is good and perfect (well almost... They're radio isn't and keeps repeating songs they think you'll like) and then when you cancel the subscription, bam! you can't even play the songs on your playlists even though you're online. 

And then now I'm left wanting to go after this carrot but I have to tell myself, I'm no rabbit!!!!
