I have just finished watching the movie Center Stage from year 2ohohoh. I've always wanted to see it because it is a teen movie and I was still a teen back then T____T and at that time there weren't many dance films.
Anyway, I'm disenchanted.
Is the movie telling teenage girls that you have to sleep with somebody to achieve your dreams?
That was what I got out of the movie.
Because the story ended with Jody becoming a principal dancer at Cooper's new dance company. In the first place, Jody is not a good dancer. She slept with Cooper and then Cooper gave her a role in his new play, which was how the second half of the story progressed.
Verdict? Trash it.
